Almuftah Group employees successfully completes Fire Warden Training

Staff from various Almuftah Group divisions have been awarded fire warden certificates and license cards in a recent handover ceremony held at the company’s head office in Al Sadd.

Some 15 trainees have been certified under the Fire Warden Training course, which involved strenuous and in-depth understanding of securing people and property from fire. This batch of certified fire wardens/marshals came from Almuftah Head Office, Almuftah Interiors, Mainstore, Vision International School, Security, Almuftah Fibreglass Products, Almuftah Tyres and Lubricants, and QMS department.

During the awarding, Mr. Rami Yarvas, Manager of Human Resources, articulated that “we cannot take the rarity of incidents and accidents, especially fire, for granted in our facilities. This mentality not only puts property at risk but also personnel. This training, certificates, and IDs (valid for three years) is our tangible commitment in our investment in health and safety, which should be everyone’s first priority at any time and any place.”

The Fire Warden Training covers a comprehensive course that includes studies and practicum on fire legislation, principles of combustion, fire procedures, role of fire warden/marshal, fire extinguishers, and fire risk reduction. The training was conducted by Enertech Qatar, a leading health and safety training centre in the country.
