English Modern School (EMS) celebrated World Book Day through participation in the “Reading Hour” initiative, introduced by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar. The event was held across EMS campuses and year levels on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. The initiative highlighted the importance of reading in enhancing student knowledge, encouraging exploration, and strengthening the connection between students, books, and libraries.

During the dedicated reading hour, students, teachers, and staff paused their daily activities to engage in reading, reinforcing the value of lifelong learning. EMS teachers collaborated with the Learning Resource Center (LRC) Officer to provide books aligned with students’ year levels and curriculum requirements.
