Recognising the increasing market demand for high-quality polymer storage tanks, Almuftah Group established Almuftah Polymers in 1999. As a pioneer manufacturer and supplier of polymer-based storage solutions, it did not take long for our company to become a leading provider of these products for various residential, commercial, and industrial applications. In a short span of time, Almuftah Polymers was able to establish a reputable standing among homeowners, business proprietors, specifiers, architects, and builders alike.

Our rotomould water tanks, for instance, are made from materials that are compliant with U.S. Food and Drug Administration standards, are ISO 9001:2000 certified, and they have also been approved by the U.K.’s Water Regulation Advisory Scheme and by Qatar’s General Organisation for Standards and Metrology. On the other hand, our diesel storage tanks have passed material standards set by Ireland and U.K.’s Oil Firing Technical Association.

Available in all sizes ADifferent grades of foam tanks are available: minimum foam, medium foam, maximum foam, and customer thickness requirement of up to 50 mm. The maximum grade is 3-4 mm more in sandwich than the normal solid PE tanks. Without foam the difference between them lies in the extent of foam expansion (foam ratio) or thickness of the foam products. As the thickness of the foam increases, the thermal conductivity decreases. The density of the resulting tank foam will also vary, with the foam of maximum expansion having a large cell size (more air in the foam structure), and therefore lower density. The thermal conducting capacity of PE is reduced by using foam. Hence the heat transfer will be less. This is an important property of foam tanks because it helps to reduce the heat transfer between cold water and the surroundings. The insulated tanks are available in all sizes. PE Foam increases rigidity and stiffness of moulded tanks. In addition, increased strength is imparted upon the tank through the use of foam instead of solid PE, the insulating properties of foam also have useful applications.
